"Promotional Reward Programs", extract from page 97:
"Marion Jackson owns and operates My Virtual Assistant, an online personal assistant business. She promotes her business via monthly electronic newsletter. Jackson has also sent out mailers that include her photo and a lollipop inside. Jackson reports that she has had a lot of positive feedback regarding the lollipops."
"Research", extract from page 210:
"Go for it! But first, do tons and tons of research. Talk to lots of people who have their own businesses, and work in the 'real world' first if you can because you need to learn how to communicate with people from all walks of life. Read as much as you can and become and expert in your field. It's important to find a 'point of difference' in your 'virtual world'. Don't feel you have to conform to and follow what everyone else is doing. Do lots of research: read... and attend all sorts of seminars whenever you can, talk to people, and learn as much as you can before you even think about launching your virtual business. Then, when you think you are ready, go for it! By then you will be armed with lots of knowledge, be able to make your own educated decisions, and let your gut instincts take over. Don't be afraid, and always remember to have fun along the way!"
