Get rid of your business hats!
To get your business to the next level, you need to delegate some tasks and even though you know in your heart how right this advice is, you’ve probably grown accustomed to going it alone.

Each and every part of your business is important and you might feel nervous about delegating tasks to a person who may not care about your business in the same way you do.

In order to grow your business, you need to focus on what you do best.

It's amazing how things turn out
Back when I first launched My Virtual Assistant, I figured that a lot of the work I’d be doing would be things like typing meeting minutes, letters and reports.  Not that I mind doing that kind of stuff, but it’s funny how things turn out.

Instead, the kind of work I am being asked to do most often, are things like newsletters, media releases, internet research, website maintenance, designing flyers and other design work, along with a spot of photography and also a number of CV’s (sign of the times, I guess).

It’s been just over a year since I started working from home and I have to say that one of the best things about setting up my business is working with such an interesting array of clients, as well the chance to learn about a variety of industries.

I find my work extremely interesting, a wonderful challenge and I enjoy learning new things in order to accommodate my client’s requests.   It’s a very refreshing change working with various business owners, as opposed to working at the same company every day with the same people.

Take time out to look at rainbows!
Some days are just rainbow kinda days!

Don't ever let yourself get so busy and so wound up in your own world, that you don't have time to stop, look up into the sky, and take time out to enjoy the beauty of a rainbow.

Are you a person that often says “if only...”?

When you continuously dwell on what could have been, instead of dealing with what is now, you’ll find it difficult to move forward in your business. Instead of wishing for something, take the time and the steps to make it happen.

Some people are great at getting things done, and that doesn’t include those who are forever pretending they are getting somewhere by making ‘to-do lists’, the people I’m talking about are the ones who set their sights on an objective and do whatever it takes to make things happen regardless of the obstacles.

Keeping positive and focussed can become difficult if you are feeling overwhelmed by all the work piling up on your desk.

When that happens you know it’s time to call in the cavalry!

So if you are someone that has no space left on their desk or your office is bursting at the seams, it's time to send in re-inforcements by giving me a call.
